How a page is built
- The job is chosen from a machine a superintendent is about to hire: a marine leg, a ship loader, or a dust collector. A parish without a document does not get a URL.
- Sources start with the regulation or the tariff, then the port page, the operator’s sheet, or the accident report. Trade magazines corroborate. They do not replace the tariff.
- The draft is written by this desk. Every rate and every address is tied to the document and an access date. If the document is silent, the page says so.
- A second pass checks that the next parish would not still read true. If it would, the page is cut. The same pass checks that a house and the three excluded states are refused by the form.
- Pages are reviewed when a tariff effective date changes. Drafting assistance is used to assemble cited sentences. The published claim still has to match the document a person can open. Corrections are logged on the corrections page.
The source list used for that work is kept with the project notes. Public pages link the document itself, not a homepage.
